More Art Pictures

Guess what? Those pictures that I posted previously have been voted on. The results are not in on who won. There were some really stunning pictures and I would have voted for them myself. I should have set up one of those facebook events with my Albion friends and said 'vote for me- I need the money'. Too desperate?

Well here are some of my new workings in my class. I'm getting smarter with putting watermarks on the images so they aren't used. Yeah who would want to use my amature work? My teacher says I even have a lazy eye. I don't spend enough time on one "shooting" range. Three pictures is enough for me. Well I take pride in them at least so I'm not taking any chances that someone else will like them and then use them.

If you have seen my past blog you have seen my fascination for cemeteries. Oh look I've posted more pictures of cemeteries. I swear I'm not a weirdo, though it coming from me doesn't make it believable. I've always taken pics of cemeteries in the countries that I've visited and well this is the first time my obsession has come to the states. I always say that the reason that I take the pictures is to show how people take care of the dead, or even the history on the headstones. It's the history and culture I swear. Well I've always compared other countries to that of what I've been raised to. I never went that step farther. I thought then you really will be a weird person. Well I've crossed my own limitation (I needed more pictures for the class).

Michigan Snow

A Little Poem to get your day going

       It's winter in  Michigan

       And the gentle breezes blow
       Seventy miles an hour
       At twenty-five below.
       Oh, how I love  Michigan
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
       I could never leave  Michigan
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground

I found this poem in a forwarding message. I liked it so much I continued the forward by posting it here. Whoever thought of this is a freaking genius. How true this is. Right now the snow is all gone but the cold is still here. Once the cold is completely gone the next season will come, this one I have heard is called the construction season (though with budget cuts it most likely will resort to the 'S.O.L' season- no work and the ac blasted).

Ah, but I love my state of Michigan with it's temperamental weather. Really it's so desperate I don't see why companies just outsource here. The people need the jobs.

On that depressing note I would like to add that this is the state that I've lived and this is the state that I will stay... if I don't live in another country that is.

International Student Union

The other side of the table
I think I said before that I don't want any responsibilities for this semester so I can concentrate on my studies and arranging an internship. Well I succeeded mostly for this semester. I always seem to take on something. Next semester I seem to be Treasurer again of ISU. That's okay since I have past experience. This semester's Treasurer is moving up to be President, which is great for there is no way I want that position.

This Sunday there was a mix up with the rental cars for our dinner. I can't get into a lot of it because I might curse up a storm. Lets just say I am very angry that because I am so trusting someone nearly got me in big trouble with the law. As it is I just got a stern lecture and it wasn't even my fault! All right it was a small part my fault for I knew that I was liable.

Before the food. Some of us had the menu memorized

All this was after the actual dinner. That on the other hand was amazing though none of us could understand inside voices. We were too excited. By the end, I had a headache. Yep, I am an old lady.  The food was amazing. I was able to try coconut soup which I had been craving since I saw the menu. I also had some curry. The Thai restaurant was stylish (cheap but cute). The company was great. It was all fun.

This is all of us...

Spring Break

Well I started to type this two weeks ago: It's time for a vacation. I know that I haven't been working my best at school. Mostly feel like I've been sliding by. I've been giving more to one class then the other. I hope that this time of just relaxing at home will I be able to get my gear together. So far it feels so nice to be home. I got to say good bye to my mom before she went down to Texas this Monday.

That is all I had and I didn't add anything else. There was a night where I went out with friends on the Monday. I was waiting for the photos since I again did not take my camera though I took all the pictures that night. I thought to use them for my class but my friend with the camera still hasn't turned them in. My break wasn't too eventful. I didn't finish all the work I was hoping to do, though it wasn't till Sunday that I realized my mistake.
